1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a child with SEND

We are looking to appoint a motivated and suitably experienced TA to support the learning and behaviour of a pupil with SEND in KS2. The successful candidate will work as a class based learning and behaviour support assistant, supporting pupils learning, preparing resources, leading intervention and other tasks as directed by the teacher and SENCo.

We wish to appoint a teaching assistant who is

Child-centred in their approach

Sensitive and patient in their dealings with children who have significant special needs and who may, at times, present challenging behaviour

Knowledgeable about, or interested in, working with children who have autism and or profound and complex learning and physical difficulties

Flexible, versatile .

Committed to their own training and development

You will have:
Relevant qualifications at GNVQ L2 or above
Experience of working in a primary school
Experience of working alongside an effective teaching team
The ability to employ strategies to ensure good discipline
Initiative and adaptability
The ability to be creative and have a good sense of humour and be able to work within a team
