Administration Assistant

Location: Cheadle Heath Primary School
Salary Range: Scale 3 – point 5 – 6, £19,312 to £19,698 FTE pro rata (dependant on experience)
Working Pattern: Full time, 8.30am – 4pm
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent

We are looking for an efficient and enthusiastic school administrator / secretary with excellent organisational skills to provide a wide range of administrative support to the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and main office. As the initial point of contact for families, visitors and telephone callers, you will need to have an excellent telephone manner, good communication skills and be able to deal with staff, parents, visitors and children in a busy environment. Experience of SIMS is essential.
The role requires a strong, organised person who has confidence to work in a busy environment and the satisfaction hat you are improving childrens’ prospects.


As being the first person to meet and greet guests to the school you should have the following attitude / personality:
• Previous experience within a school administration role
• Excellent administrative and SIMS experience and the ability to multi-task
• Ability to prioritise your time and workload
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Friendly, approachable & professional
• Work well as part of a team
• The ability to work with high levels of tact, confidentiality and discretion

Key Skills:

• Good Microsoft Office skills; Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Experience working with SIMS essential
