Stockport Council’s Business Support department has an exciting opportunity to support and manage people within one of their Business Support Hubs.

The role will undertake vital support processes and manage teams within the Applications, Licencing and External Customer Requests Hub. This role will have responsibility for various administration teams undertaking the processing of applications across a number of different areas including Early Years, Blue Badge and Aids & Adaptations and Environmental Enforcement & Protection.

As a Business Support Hub Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the direct line management of staff, oversight of day to day work and will play a large role in looking for process improvements and efficiencies. The successful candidate will need to balance an operational ‘day to day’ workload as well as play a key role in working and leading on core projects.

Business Support works with many services throughout the Council so we are also looking for a candidate who has good relationship management skills, they should ideally have some management experience, along with experience in investigating processes, recommending improvement and delivering change.
