Join Stockport Council at this exciting time to become part of a new Estate and Asset Management Team.  We are looking for an Architect who is an excellent team player and creative thinker to drive the development of the new Design and Technical Services team.

We have a large visionary programme of capital developments across the borough covering our Schools, Leisure, Operational and Commercial portfolio, and we are leading the way in public sector innovation in advanced construction models. 

As an Architect, you will lead range of major projects to develop innovative and high quality designs. You will work alongside an internal team of Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers, Building Surveyors and Project Managers, as well as leading a raft of externally commissioned consultant teams.

You will have a demonstrable track record and technical expertise in project management, procurement, construction contract management, and delivery of commercially viable costed schemes across a range of typologies.  You will have a commitment to design quality of the highest standard and strong eye for detail as you drive our teams to achieve the very best in construction output. Furthermore, you will have a successful track record in delivery within major new build and refurbishment schemes. You will have strong partnership skills and be able to develop strong networks in order to ensure timely project delivery.
