Due to the retirement of a long-serving and dedicated member of our teaching team, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, creative and aspirational class teacher to join our dynamic team.  

The Trustees of the Kirkstead Education Trust at Hursthead Junior School wish to appoint an inspirational individual with a passion for exciting teaching and high levels of achievement for all. We are proud of our commitment to the development of the whole child and we would like to recruit a teacher who can enhance our existing team and promote our REAL wheel values (Responsible, Enthusiastic, Aspirational Leaders).   

We are seeking a hardworking and excellent classroom practitioner who has the skills to get to support our curriculum development and our high levels of pastoral care, whilst working collaboratively within a strong team. This is a role for someone who has the ability to meet constant challenges with enthusiasm, determination and good humour.   

We will strive to help you fulfil your potential so that our children receive the best teaching and learning opportunities possible. There will be a subject leader responsibility (RQTs and beyond) and opportunities for the successful candidate to work with curriculum leaders and engage in professional development.           

The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential to: 

Be an outstanding classroom practitioner able to work flexibly with colleagues to add a fresh dimension to a talented team 
Quickly build rapport with staff and children, understanding their needs to help them reach their full potential Communicate effectively with children, staff and parents 
Contribute to raising standards across the school
