THIS JOB IS TERM TIME ONLY THEREFORE THE PAY WILL BE PRO RATA

We are seeking to appoint a committed teaching assistant  to work initially in Early Years. This will involve supporting the teachers in the classroom and supporting children with their learning in 1:1 or small groups. Knowledge of a range of primary based Interventions will be an advantage.

The successful candidate will:

•be fully committed to supporting children

•  have a Teaching Assistant qualification at Level 3 or equivalent and/or paid employment as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school

•be able to use effective strategies to promote positive attitudes to learning

• be highly motivated with a very positive attitude and enjoy a challenge

• have the ability to inspire children and provide high quality learning experiences

• be an excellent practitioner with a desire to help children achieve

• have very high expectations of children’s attainment and behaviour

• to behave in a professional manner within a team environment

• have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work positively with children, parents and other stakeholders

• to have a sound knowledge of the Early Years foundation curriculum, especially mathematics, grammar, spelling and punctuation
