CSS Officer (Information & Communications – ICT School Support)
Hours: 37 hours per week full year (Term Time considered)
Scale 4 (Pro-Rata for term time)
Two year temporary contract

Your Role
This post has more than enough variety to satisfy the most ambitious ICT tecnician.

You’d be part of a team providing ICT support and repairs to around 110 schools in Stockport and surrounding areas, working on a diverse range of personal computer systems and mobile devices.

About You
The successful candidate should:
  • Have a good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, applications, LAN principles and a working knowledge of general hardware support.
  • Ideally have a higher qualification in some aspect of ICT, but if you have relevent work experience we would be interested in speaking to you.  
  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Keep up to date with advances in computer technology and how this affects the business environment. 
  • Enjoy problem solving and have a very good thought process.
  • Be adaptable and be able to pick up new techniques. 
  • Be able to use your own initiative and must be able to manage and motivate yourself as there will be a high degree of autonomy.
As our work is local, you will never have to travel too far from base but you will need to be a car owner/driver, for which an appropriate mileage allowance is paid.
