Stockport Council is seeking to appoint, on behalf of the North West Association of Children’s Services (NWADCS), to the newly created role of Policy and Performance Manager, Children’s Sector Led Improvement. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a small team which will keep the North West at the forefront of sector led improvement in Children’s Services. About the role
With relevant stakeholders you will promote the use of data, intelligence and research to identify and drive improvements in commissioning and delivery of Children’s Services at local, sub-regional and regional levels. This new and unique role will see you:
· Manage the provision of performance and intelligence input to NWADCS and associated networks for senior leaders in School Improvement, Children’s Social Care and Special Education Needs/Disabilities (SEND).
· Develop and maintain regional networks to facilitate the sharing of data and intelligence across Children’s Services.
· Manage the development and review of regional policies, protocols and procedures, providing appropriate oversight of and support to specific projects and workstreams.
· Manage engagement with relevant research; co-ordinate quality assurance activity; and manage the commissioning and evaluation of evidence-informed development activity.
Your experience
You should have experience and expertise in a Children’s Services environment and a track record of working with a range of stakeholders to manage and implement change and develop innovative approaches. Your excellent analytical skills will ensure you are confident in using data and intelligence to shape your approach to tackling new challenges and managing projects.
Whilst the post is hosted by Stockport Council, this role is home-based and we actively support flexible working. Travel across the North West region, and occasionally beyond, is vital to the successful delivery of the role.
