 Part Time Teaching Assistant
Required from January 2020 (Linked to Pupil Premium funding)
16.5 hours per week, term time only – Salary pro-rata (Mon to Fri am)
TA Scale 3 

The Governors of Thorn Grove Primary School are looking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated, enthusiastic teaching assistant to deliver appropriate support and high quality teaching and learning opportunities to children in our KS2 & KS1. The successful candidate will be able to:
Form positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff
Work effectively as part of a team but be able to use their own initiative to improve outcomes for all pupils
Support children with Special Educational Needs
Demonstrate that they have high expectations for behaviour whilst promoting fair and inclusive practises
Show a commitment to their professional development
Undertake training to support children with medical or educational needs.
Deliver interventions

The post will involve:
Supporting in the delivery of high quality teaching and learning activities
Teaching small groups in class where necessary
Assisting the teacher in the management and preparation of resources
Adapting planning to meet the needs of the pupils
Supporting in the recording and collation of evidence for assessment purposes 
Delivering interventions

Applicants should possess a high standard of spoken and written English, holding GCSE qualifications: grades A-C in English and Maths. Previous experience of working with primary children, running interventions or supporting children with Special Educational Needs would be desirable.
