Workers
A range of flexible hours including weekend
work
Salary: - NJC Scale 5 + 2 increments for
weekend working (currently £22,401 - £24,657 pro rata)
Can you make a positive contribution
by supporting individuals with learning disabilities in their own homes to live
independent and meaningful lives?
We are looking for motivated and
enthusiastic individuals. You must have the availability and flexibility to
work irregular hours such as early mornings, evenings, weekends and
nights. You will need experience of
working with people with disabilities this can be in either a paid, voluntary
or personal capacity.
Predominately we are looking for
workers to support an individual who is going through a transition from college
to having his own supported tenancy. This is an active individual who enjoys
being outside walking, attending the gym or visiting National Trust areas of
interest. Music plays a huge part in the individuals life and can be used to
motivate and reinforce.
Although you will work with the
one individual you may also be asked to work in other locations as the service
requirements dictate. You may be expected to be a lone worker at times. In all
roles you must be punctual and reliable.
Due to the needs of the service
we are happy to consider part time hours and also full time hours (this can be
discussed at interview) but support workers must be flexible and work across
the seven day week including bank holidays.
There is a rolling mandatory
training programme that you will be required to attend throughout your
employment.
Due to the additional provisions
set out for young workers in the 'working time regulations 1999 act' applicants
must be 18 years or over to be considered for this work.
Due to the popularity of some
positions, we reserve the right to close the vacancies early on receipt of
sufficient applicants.
Feedback will not be given at the
application stage.
Previous applicants need not
apply.
Please reference the Person Specification in your supporting
information as this is how your application form will be scored.
