Supported Lodgings
Fostering

GBP 200 per week

The Supported Lodgings scheme is looking for residents aged over 25 in Stockport, who can provide warm, secure and friendly accommodation for young people aged between 16 and 17, who are at risk, and care leavers aged between 18 and 21.

The Community Supported Lodgings Scheme's purpose is to find accommodation for young homeless people, who come from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Community Supported Lodgings is a stepping stone to independence and young people on the scheme are expected to learn skills we take for granted - such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, washing and generally staying safe and healthy. This will enable them to become independent and eventually cope in their own homes.

We will provide regular support to the carers and each young person will receive support from a social worker or a support worker during their stay with you.

You are not expected to provide guardianship for a young person, just support and guidance in a safe environment.
