Residential Support Worker (Waking Night)
Employer: Stockport Council
Location:   Children’s Residential Accommodation, located in Offerton & Davenport, 
Salary Grade:  Scale 5 + 2 (£21,589 - £24,799)
Working Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off pattern hours 23.00-8:00qm
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: 3 month contract

We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and committed person to join our team caring for young people aged 8 to 18 with complex needs. You must have a child centred approach, working in partnership with young people, their families and colleagues from other settings.

Our continuing priorities for the future include involving young people in decision making and shaping of our service, improving their educational achievement and improving their confidence and self esteem through the use of positive engagement. 

You must have experience of working with children and young people and understand the particular needs of children who are Looked After. You will also be expected to have knowledge of legislation, policy and inspection standards and understand how these impact on practice. You will be expected to have a child centred approach to delivery of this service and be able to work in consultation and in partnership with young people

Applicants must be aged 22 or over

We are looking for people with enthusiasm, commitment, and excellent communication skills

You will be required to work a flexible rota, including weekend, bank holiday, waking night
