Street Lighting & Sign Maintenance - Highways & Transportation

Stockport Council are seeking to appoint an Engineer / Transportation Officer within the Street Lighting and Sign Maintenance team.

The ideal candidate will assist with the delivery of Street Lighting maintenance work, have experience of preparing accurate records & reports, working to strict deadlines, monitoring contractor performance, managing budgets and working with a GIS system.

The post-holder will have experience of providing a high quality service in a customer focussed environment. Key elements of the role include overseeing maintenance / scheme work, liaising with operational teams, arranging site checks on quality and timeliness of work, dealing with service related enquiries, liaison with utility companies and other stakeholders, maintaining inventory records and preparing reports on the street lighting supply network.
