Highfields Inclusion Partnership is a Pupil Referral Unit for Y7 to Y11 students who have been, or are at risk of being, excluded from mainstream schools. Many of the students are expected to stay at Highfields for two/three terms, then return to a mainstream school or transfer to a specialist provision.

 

Our aim is to re-engage students in education, enabling them to return to school or to move on to successful post 16 placements. Often the education packages are personalised to suit individual needs and include a variety of other interventions as part of a full wrap around service.

 

Highfields Inclusion Partnership is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with Additional Responsibilities For ICT - Temporary to cover Maternity Leave

Salary : Pro rata: Scale 4  (£10.14 per hour) Term Time only  38 weeks per year plus 5 days INSET
              Actual annual salary - £14881.18

Hours of post : Full Time  (contracted hours 32.5 hours pw  Monday-Friday – excluding half hour lunch)

 

The successful applicants will be responsible for supporting lessons and ensuring students are on task in their learning. The post holder must have a level of competence in functional ICT (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet, Email) that can be explained and demostrated to young people.

There would also be some element of administrative work to complete.

  

It is essential that candidates have empathy with students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and are able to work in a challenging and demanding environment.
