Stockport Continuing Education Service provides courses for adults, families and communities across the borough of Stockport.  We are currently looking to strengthen our approach to supporting learners with additional needs. The Service is creating a number of new opportunities to build on improvements achieved in recent years including in 2018 being judged a ‘Good’ provider by Ofsted in all aspects of its work.

Ideally candidates need to have experience of working in a post 19 learning setting although not essential as training will be available. An understanding of, and empathy for people with additional needs is important.

If you feel you have the right qualities to work with teaching professionals and learners in different contexts i.e. 1:1, small group work, workshops, and can demonstrate a commitment to supporting learners to progress in their learning and/or employment, and you are interested in working for the Service then complete the on-line application detailing your experience and qualifications.

The successful applicant’s appointment will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment clearances including a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
