We wish to appoint an RSIA to work within our very successful and thriving Resource Base.
Scale 3 (14-17) £16,231 - £17,372 per annum pro rata
Part Time - 32.5 hours Mon–Fri 8.30am – 3.30pm (including unpaid half hour lunch break)
Fixed Term - Until July 2018
The main duties of this role will involve:
- Supporting a child with specific medical and learning needs and administering medicines, including controlled substances such as narcotic analgesics.
- To support physical development via the delivery of physiotherapy sessions as directed by the physiotherapist.
· Supporting other Resourced pupils with their learning and development both in and out of the classroom throughout the school day
· Meet the physical needs of some of our pupils eg. toileting, changing, supporting with wheelchair use
· Work under the guidance of teaching staff, Inclusion Manager and outside agencies in order to implement and evaluate agreed work programmes
· Contribute to the evaluation and writing of the Individual Education Plan for the specific pupil(s) you work with
We are looking for someone who is flexible, committed and can show initiative. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with teaching staff, the Inclusion Manager and work efficiently alongside the other RSIAs. The post will require you to work mainly with one particular child with complex needs, full training will be given. There may also be a need to work with other Resource Base children, as well as supporting others through school at the direction of the Inclusion Manager.
