Business Support Team Leader: Scale 6 (£24,982 - £27,041 )
12 months Fixed Term Contract
An opportunity has arisen to work within Stockport Council’s Business Support Service within the Neighbourhood and Satellite Hub supporting the Community Mental Health Team. The post is a full-time contract fixed term for 12 months, the post will be based at Stopford House within the Community Mental Health Team working flexibly across the Borough.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for supervising Business Support Assistants within the team across two sites within the borough. As part of your role, you will manage the deployment of staff within the Hub and the day-to-day relationships with the service area. You will also be responsible for the production and maintenance of office manuals (procedures/practice) and on the ground business process re-engineering to ensure both quality and efficiency. The role entails prioritising workloads, undertaking one to one meetings, personal development reviews project management for key projects in this area and supporting the protection of property for services users in Adult Social Care.
The successful candidate will need to be:
• self-motivated have experience of people management (or have experience in leading on projects / processes involving others),
• be able to employ effective negotiation skills.
• have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as good organisation skills
• be used to working in a busy and pressured environment.
• proficient in Office 365.
• able to work flexibly with staff and Services
• some experience of working in adult social care and/or mental health services would be useful.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with management at all levels within the organisation and partner agencies.
