Stockport Continuing Education Service provides post 19 learning across the borough of Stockport in partnership with third sector services and organisations. The Service is creating several new posts to build on improvements achieved in recent years. Following its most recent Ofsted inspection, at which it was judged to be good, the service has as its ambition to be outstanding in all aspects of its work.
 
The successful post holders will ideally have experience of working in a post 19 setting; have experience of supporting learners with a wide range of needs including developmental, physical and sensory.   
 
Consideration will be given to applicants who can demonstrate a strong commitment to their own professional development by working towards a level 3 qualification in teaching and/or learning support.  
 
They will have experience of bringing and delivering creative and imaginative approaches to supporting learners including the use of digital technologies to promote independence in learning.   
 
The successful applicant’s appointment will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment clearances including a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
