The Senior Engineer - Flood Risk Management role will work within the Design & Improvement Team which is part of the Highways & Transportation Service which undertakes all aspects of civil engineering projects from inspection, investigation, feasibility studies, detailed design, contract management, construction and maintenance.  We are seeking to appoint a Senior Engineer / Senior Transportation Officer in the Flood Risk Management Team who will assist with the delivery of the Councils statutory duties under the Flood & Water Management Act 2010.  They will be responsible for the development and maintenance of a QGIS asset database; the investigation of flood risk issues and incidents and provision of engineering support and advice for a range of regulatory flood risk and drainage matters across a number of service areas including third party enforcement, emergency planning, highways infrastructure and planning & development control.  They will also assist in coordination of Stockport Councils flood risk management improvements programme and be able to work with Developers, Contractors and other Key Stakeholders to deliver projects in a commercial and customer focussed way which achieves programmes, meets performance targets and meets the Councils Corporate Objectives.
