18 month temporary contract
Pay in line with National Standards:
£8.21 per hour 25 and over
£7.70 per hour 21 to 24 years
£6.15 per hour 18 to 20 years
£4.35 per hour Under 18
Stockport Council are offering an exciting new apprenticeship scheme in Payroll Administration. You will be part of a team that delivers payroll and pension administration for Council employees and external organisations, as well as wider HR administration as required.
A normal day would include
- Processing payroll and pension information
- Planning and prioritisation
- Use of IT
- Analysis of payroll reports
- Maintaining electronic and paper filing systems
- Handling incoming phone calls and helping with enquiries
What you should have to apply
- Essential - GCSE or equivalent in maths and English
- Be committed to learning and developing within the role

Skills
- IT Microsoft Office – Particularly Excel
- Able to communicate both verbally and written to a high level

How you will be supported?
Full training and support will be provided by your manager and colleagues and you will have access to a range of courses provided by Stockport Council. You will also be provided with a workplace mentor who will support you throughout your apprenticeship.
