Business Support Apprentice - SPEND HUB

 An exciting opportunity is available to join a proactive team and learn about the business of the Council. You will be part of the SPEND Hub at Stockport Council and focus on obtaining value for money and supporting services to achieve savings. You will ensure spend is compliant with corporate procurement rules and will work to embed sustainability and build social value into our contracts. 

The role will allow you to build experience and understanding of procurement whilst studying for the CIPS Level 4 diploma. We will support you to complete the diploma in the workplace but a commitment to college study days and studying in your own time is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn new skills, have a proactive approach to their work and be able to organise themselves effectively. You will have excellent communication skills as this role involves building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders. A good understanding of ICT systems and software packages, including Excel and other Office 365 applications is important to the role.
