CSS Officer - Payroll and Pensions Officer
Scale 6 – £24,313 - £26,317 (Permanent)
Contract hours – Full time / 37 hours

An opportunity has arisen within Stockport Council’s HR Central Services Team for a Payroll and Pensions Officer. We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual, committed to learning and confident in both numeracy and literacy skills. 

This role sits within a busy payroll and pension’s team, providing effective and efficient delivery of services to the Council and a variety of external clients. You will have an understanding of current legislation in relation to PAYE and pensions, and a working knowledge of payroll systems. 

We are looking for a confident, experienced professional with a positive, self-driven approach to problem solving and the ability to communicate effectively with customers at all levels.

This is a busy role and applicants will be required to work full-time (37-hours) due to the operational needs of the service. This role may involve crossover with other aspects of HR/Payroll related work within the wider team and service area.
