We are seeking to appoint an Engineer / Transportation Officer in the Network Asset Maintenance team within the Highways & Transportation Service. 

The ideal candidate will have experience of preparing accurate records & reports, working to strict deadlines, monitoring contractor performance, liaising with utility companies and other key stakeholders.   

The post-holder will inspect the highway and publicly maintained access routes on a daily basis, provide repair and site information, respond to public enquiries and record data on the Council’s management information system. They will work with the maintenance team and contractor to ensure repairs are carried out in a timely manner and to the required standards. This will be in accordance with the Council’s Highway Safety Inspection and Repair policy and plan.

The post-holder would also be required to provide evidence in court to assist with the Council’s defence of highway related claims.
