Full Time, 37 hours per week.  5 Days out of 7 to include evenings/ weekends and Bank Holidays.

 

Scale 4 + 2.  £18,870 - £20,541 with 2 additional points for evening and weekend working, making the salary £19,819 - £21,693

 

 

HOSPITALITY SUPERVISOR

 

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hospitality Supervisor within Stockport Council’s Events and Registrars Team.

 

We are looking for a self-motivated, results driven individual who excels in customer service. You will be a personal licence holder and have operational experience of a wide range of events and have demonstrable supervisory experience within the hospitality industry. 

 

Based at Stockport Town Hall but working at a variety of Venues including Bramall Hall, Chadkirk Chapel and Fred Perry House you will work as part of a growing team overseeing Food and Beverage service at a wide range of Events including but not limited to; conferences, weddings, corporate entertainment and private functions.  Our events vary in size from small meetings to awards dinners and weddings for up to 500 people. 

 

Duties include, but are not limited to;

Assisting the event coordinator in the operational delivery of Events encompassing all aspects across all Venues.

Responsibility for the food and beverage delivery at Events across all Venues.

Oversee event hospitality service to ensure client expectations are met.

Offer support and training to the food and beverage assistants.

Oversee the rota and monitor staffing levels.

Responsible for Bars at all Venues which includes but is not limited to; ordering bar stock, completing monthly bar stock takes, cleaning beer lines and cashing up tills at the end of the shift.

Oversee the cleaning rota at all Venues and ensure that all working areas are kept clean and tidy maintaining food hygiene and health and safety regulations.

Maintain a good working relationship with all suppliers.

Provide a high level of customer service

Work with a property management system to establish events needs and ordering requirements

Attend weekly function sheet meetings with relevant departments to ensure the successful delivery of all events.

Ensure the safe evacuation of premises in the event of emergencies arising during a function.

Comply with the team rota to work a 5 out of 7 working day week including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Nominated first aider.
