The Metropolitan Borough of Stockport has embarked on one of the UK’s most significant town centre regeneration projects, working alongside its new created Stockport Mayoral Development Corporation.
This £1bn development and investment programme has already delivered over £250m of projects and once completed will have radically transformed the area into a modern, vibrant place to live, work and unwind.
As the development works gather momentum, this newly created post will play a major part in delivering some of the region’s most exciting development projects, including the Interchange & Podium Park, Stockport Exchange, Merseyway Redevelopment, £14.5m Future High Street Fund scheme, alongside MDC projects such as Weir Mill and St Thomas’ Hospital.
This position would suit a RICS Qualified Surveyor (General Practice or P&D), with a minimum 5-10 years property experience. Applicants are likely currently sat within a property development company/organisation, or similar and have demonstrable experience of the full development life cycle (including site feasibility, development appraisals, planning matters, design team, on site construction, letting/occupation etc).
The role is offered at circa £50,000-£56,000 + benefits & exceptional pension contribution (up to 18%).
