Senior Local Pilot Marketing and Communications Officer – SO1 Fixed Term until March 2021
We’re looking for an experienced marketing and social media savvy communications professional to join our award winning Communications and Marketing and Public Health Teams, who is passionate about the role that physical activity can play in transforming lives.
This newly created role will support the exciting and ambitious Sport England Local Pilot Programme to increase levels of physical activity across Stockport. This role will focus on marketing and communicating the value of physical activity through a systems approach, as well as informing and enthusing Stockport’s residents to become more active.
Key skills will include:
- Leading the development and delivery of communications campaigns and strategies to change behaviours
- Create innovative communications from standard briefs
- Fielding enquiries from stakeholders including journalists, politicians and service users.
- Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media.
- Co-ordinating and contributing to the Council’s online and digital communications offer.
- Deliver related consultation support including writing communications, developing consultation media and supporting officers at public events.
- Support the dissemination of research findings
