As an Equipment and Adaptations Officer, you will join the Prevention, Wellbeing and Independence Business Group with a focus on enabling people to meet their goals and outcomes. You will be joining a friendly, hardworking and supportive team with a full range of training and developmental opportunities.  
 
The primary role of the Equipment and Adaptation Officer (EAO) is to carry out assessments of need for people with a range of disabilities, arrange for the provision of standard equipment and adaptations in order to reduce risk and to promote wellbeing. Assessing adults in line with the Care Act you will support a person’s well-being by delivering on interventions that prevent, reduce and delay the onset of care needs, enabling a person to live as independently as possible , for as long as possible.  You will have a good understanding of the effects of disability on everyday life and have skills in the assessment of needs and functional ability.
 
Previous experience of working with people with physical and sensory disabilities or experience of living with, or close contact with a person with a disability is essential.
 
If you have excellent organisation skills, the ability to understand the effects of disability on every day life and a passion for solving practical problems, then this role could be for you.
