Part Time Library Assistants
SALARY: Scale 4 starting salary £20,092 (pro-rata)
Temporary contract until 31st March 2022
Hours vary Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 7pm plus
Minimum 1 in 3 Saturdays between 9am and 4pm.
Based in various Stockport Libraries

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work in our Libraries.  This is an exciting front-line role delivering a full range of services to the public. You will also deal with customers on the telephone. You will have good IT and Customer Service Skills.

You will be customer focused and committed to our values of:
  • providing high quality information and access to advice
  • making a positive contribution to the cultural life of the community
  •  ensuring our services are available to everybody
  • supporting learners of all ages and abilities
  • promoting a digital offer to our customers 

We are additionally interested in any one who may be interested in assisting with our Home Library Service which includes driving our Library Vehicles. However, this is not a mandatory requirement when applying for the position.
You will be required to work at various locations on a rota’d basis across the borough and available to work at least one in three Saturdays.
