16 ¼  hours per week Monday to Friday term time only as a TA.

(Monday to Friday 8.45am till 12 pm) plus

5 hours per week Monday to Friday term time only as a Midday Assistant.

(Monday to Friday 12 pm till 1 pm.)

Scale 3 (SCP 14-17) for Teaching Assistant Role and Scale 1 (SCP 6-11) as a Midday Assistant.

Although this role is initially until August 2018 it is highly likely that this will be extended.  In addition to this post, we would like the successful candidate to work for an hour per day as a midday assistant.

The purpose of this post is to provide effective support for a child in our reception class.

 

Our teaching assistant will have:

·         Experience or prior knowledge of supporting children with additional needs.

·         Have prior experience of the EYFS curriculum and be knowledgeable on how to effectively support the development of a child.

·         The ability to use Makaton to effectively communicate or a willingness to learn it.

·         Enthusiasm and flexibility in their approach.

·         Effective communication skills.
