Role overview:
You’ll have a passion for data analysis, strong numerical skills and a love of solving problems. You’ll bring experience of turning data into actionable insight and translating complex analysis into plain English.
As a data analyst you’ll work in a team focused on the data analytics requirements of the council’s Corporate and Support Services and Place Directorate. You will be involved in all aspects of business intelligence and data analysis, from producing operational dashboards to preparing reports that analyse and summarise business risks.
Specifically, you’ll bring:
• Experience using data analysis to generate insight
• The ability to query large and complex databases
• Experience of manipulating and visualising data
• The ability to rapidly acquire new skills and master new systems
We would particularly like to hear from candidates with experience working with complex time-series data.
The successful applicant will be employed on a contract that is generic across all Council Corporate and Support Services, providing significant career opportunities across a range of service areas.
