Advanced Practice Supervisor
Children's Services

As a Partner in Practice (PIP) Stockport are working in partnership with the Department of Education to continue on our journey of innovation towards outstanding practice within Stockport family and provide peer support to up to 12 Local Authorities over the next two years so that they can improve their Children services.


This is an fantastic opportunity to join Stockport family as part of this programme in the new role of Advanced Practice Supervisor. 


Are you an enthusiastic social care practice supervisor with experience of working confidently across partnerships?  Are you ambitious about improving the outcomes for children in Stockport and in other local authorities? If so this may be for you.  You will work closely with the locality service leaders and with the Partners in Practice Principal Lead to support the drive for excellence within Stockport and sector improvement within other local authorities. 


You will be confident in working with autonomy and you will demonstrate excellent practice leadership skills and values and have great communication skills. Alongside two other Advanced Practice Supervisors you will provide coaching, modelling, and training to the workforce, and support reflective, restorative, strength based practice to flourish. You will be an ambassador for Stockport family in other Local Authorities assisting them to build on their strengths and providing challenge and support to enable positive changes to practice.
