Required for - ASAP. Contract: 11.45am – 1.15pm Monday to Friday (7.5hrs per week)

The Governing Body at our popular and successful C of E school are seeking to appoint 2 x Midday Assistants to join our friendly and dedicated team responsible for the care and welfare of children at lunchtime. During the lunchtime period, our Midday Assistants support children in the dining room and outside areas to develop socially.  

All Saints’ was judged a ‘good school’ by OFSTED in January 2018 and we continue to strive to be the best we can be in all that we do, supporting each child in fulfilling their potential through an exciting curriculum whilst developing into a valued member of the community.  

All Saints’ was also judged ‘Outstanding’ as a Church of England school in the last SIAMs Inspection in September 2017.  The Church of England stated that: ‘Pupils are highly valued and nurtured as individuals in a caring Christian environment, which enables them to flourish academically, spiritually and socially. Relationships between all members of the school community are a strength of the school and are clearly influenced by the school’s core Christian values. The work of governors in supporting the Christian ethos of the school and in providing effective links with All Saints’ Church is exemplary’.

Previous experience is not essential however, candidates should have the ability to form a caring and professional relationship with children of primary school age. You need to be able to work closely and flexibly within a team.

Our midday assistant will have:
 ·         Experience of working with children.
 ·         Good behaviour management skills.
 ·         When appropriate, administer first aid.
 ·         Flexibility in their approach.
 ·         Effective communication skills.
 ·         Experience of being a team player.
 ·         Tolerance for our Christian ethos.        

Previous experience is not essential however, candidates should have the ability to form a caring and professional relationship with children of primary school age. You need to be able to work closely and flexibly within a team.

The successful applicant’s appointment will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment clearances including a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
