Oakgrove is a special school maintained by Stockport Local Authority. We cater for pupils from 4 to 11 years of age with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.  Oakgrove School has 37 places and five classes. We also support a number of our pupils who attend a local mainstream school, in preparation for a return to mainstream education.

Oakgrove’s aim is to provide a safe, nurturing and inclusive school where all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our pupils are encouraged to recognise their strengths and develop skills to cope with challenges in a happy, secure environment.

We wish to appoint a highly motivated Teaching Assistant with experience of working in a school environment preferably with primary aged pupils with challenging behaviours.  You should have knowledge of the national curriculum and be supportive and caring to pupils and colleagues.

A full clean driving licence is desirable due to the nature of the job and use of transport may be required.
